Convert SVG to PNG

The moment a drawing stops being able to scale. An SVG is instructions; a PNG is pixels, so pick the size you need before you leave. This renders at 1024 on the long edge, which is large enough for most uses and can be scaled down without looking soft. Transparency comes through.

What is SVG?

Not pixels but instructions - shapes, paths and text that a browser draws at whatever size you ask for. That makes it perfect for logos, icons and diagrams, and useless for photographs. Converting an SVG to any other format here is the moment it stops being able to scale.

What is PNG?

PNG is the web's lossless image format. It compresses without ever degrading the picture and has a real alpha channel, which is why screenshots, logos, line art and anything with sharp edges or text belong in it. The trade is size: on a photograph, PNG is enormous compared to JPG.
