Convert AVIF to BMP

Unpacks a modern compressed image into raw pixels for software that predates the entire idea. The size increase is startling - AVIF is very good at being small.

What is AVIF?

Built on the AV1 video codec, and the smallest of the widely-supported image formats by a clear margin - frequently half the size of a JPG that looks the same. It handles transparency and HDR. Being new is its only real drawback: plenty of software still won't open one.

What is BMP?

The Windows bitmap, which stores pixels raw with no compression worth mentioning. Files are enormous. It survives because it's trivial to read - if you're writing an image loader from scratch or feeding an embedded display, BMP is the format that needs no library.
