How to use it
Put one option on each line: names for a classroom, prizes for a giveaway, places to eat. The wheel redraws as you type. Press Spin, or click the wheel, and wait for it to stop. You can spin again, or take the winner off the wheel and spin for second place.
Is it fair?
Yes. The winner is chosen the moment you press Spin, using your browser's cryptographic random number generator, with every slice equally likely. The spin is then animated to land on that slice. How hard or how often you click makes no difference, and nothing about earlier spins affects the next one.
Repeats and weighting
Each line is one slice, so an option written twice gets twice the chance. That is the simple way to weight a draw: give someone with three raffle tickets three lines.
Questions
How many entries can the wheel hold?
As many as you like. Past about 40 the names get too small to read on the wheel, but the pick stays fair and the winner is always shown in full underneath.
Are my entries saved?
No. They live in this page only. Nothing is uploaded, and reloading the page brings back the example list.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
Yes. Each spin is independent and every entry has the same chance. For a public draw, share your screen or record the spin so everyone can see it happen.
